I’m really excited to have been selected to present a poster at the University of Manchester Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase again. It’s such a special event because it brings together postgraduates from all disciplines to share their work. As a PhD student, it’s easy to forget about the breath of research being done at the university. I find most of us only go to and from the building our lab is in and talk to other students working within similar fields to our own.
As I’m now a final year student, this will be my last opportunity to present at the showcase sadly. To finish on a high, I decided to make a video abstract to go along with my poster on developing a stem cell therapy for ischaemic stroke. The event is on Tuesday 26th June in Whitworth Hall and I will be presenting in the afternoon session at poster number 14 from 13-15.00.
